5. Risen

Because Jesus was (and is) the Son of the Living God death and hell could not hold him, and Jesus came back from death, raised immortal, as God?s appointed Ruler and Rescuer of Planet Earth, and as the giver of new life ? eternal life, with God and his people, in paradise, forever:

John 20:24-29
When the others said to Thomas, ?Hey! We?ve seen the Lord!? Tom said, ?Pull the other leg! Unless I see the nail wounds in his hands?and touch them?and the wound in his side too?I just won?t believe it!?

Eight days later they were together again, and Tom was with them this time. And Jesus came, even though the doors were shut, and stood in the middle of the room and greeted them.

Then Jesus said to Thomas, ?Come on?reach out your hand and touch these wounds?in my hands and my side. Give up your niggling doubts, and trust me!?
Thomas was gob smacked and said, ?You are my Lord?and my God!?

Jesus said, ?You trust me because you?ve seen me. But really well off are those who haven?t seen me, but trust me just the same.?
